At the end ofย Predator: Killer of Killersย weโre hit with a barrage of easter eggs that hint at theย Predatorย franchise’s future, and possibly, theย Alienย universe as well.
Cryogenically Frozen Warriors
One of the most striking reveals is a massive cryogenic storage facility filled with thousands of beings. An eternal prison for the strongest warriors defeated by the Predators. Among them is Ursa, a ferocious viking with unmatched bloodlust. Her DNA is likely preserved for future genetic upgrades, something we saw introduced inย The Predatorย (2018), where certain Yautja were enhancing themselves using the DNA of other species.

While this practice is banned by the sacred Yautja Codex, renegade โbad bloodโ clans have no qualms about genetic engineering to gain an edge. Ursaโs presence suggests we are dealing with such an outlaw clan, or perhaps these warriors are kept in stasis for ritual rematches or gladiator battles.
A Drukathi? Or a Tetrabrachial Humanoid?
In another frozen chamber we glimpse a mysterious alien resembling a Drukathi, an ancient, highly advanced race. Even more intriguingly, it looks similar to other lifeforms created by the Engineers, tying directly into the Alien mythos.

Some fans believe the creature could be a Tetrabrachial Humanoid, first introduced in the Fire and Stone comic series. These brutal beings, native to the planet UE-753, were savage test subjects of the Engineers. In those comics, the Predator known as Ahab visits their planet and finds cave paintings identical to the ones Elizabeth Shaw saw on Earth in Prometheus, reinforcing the idea that the Engineers created multiple sentient species.
Disneyโs Ultimate Crossover?
These clues point toward a larger goal: a full merger of theย Predatorย andย Alienย franchises now that both belong to Disney.ย Killer of Killersย (check out on on Hulu) practically shouts this intention. The clearest confirmation comes from theย Predator: Badlandsย trailer, which shows a Weyland-Yutani synthetic with the company logo reflected in her eyes.
We also see Weyland-Yutani tech scattered across the Yautja homeworld, suggesting the corporation is involved in Predator affairs, possibly mining rare elements or experimenting with captured technology. Earlier films like AVP and AVP: Requiem hinted at this connection, but the studio later pulled back. Under Disney, a unified universe now looks inevitable.
Is Dutch Still in the Game?
One cryo-pod contains a human whose identity is not revealed, but speculation points to Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s Dutch Schaefer. Though he declined a cameo inย The Predatorย (2018), Dutchโs story continued in other media. The video gameย Predator: Hunting Groundsย includes โDutch Tapesโ where he recounts his ongoing battle with Predators well into 2020.

However, the figure in the pod does not quite match Dutchโs imposing build, leading some to think it might be Quinn McKenna from The Predator, or even Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) from Predator 2, who famously defeated a Yautja in hand-to-hand combat.
Naruโs Return from Prey
Perhaps the most exciting reveal is the presence of Naru from Prey (2022). Frozen in a cryo-chamber, her inclusion suggests she survived a second encounter with Predators, likely the three ships that appeared in Prey‘s post-credits scene. It is implied she defeated them in a yet-unannounced sequel, making her DNA incredibly valuable before she was captured for the arenas.

She was last seen with the Raphael Adolini pistol, the same weapon presented to Harrigan in Predator 2. Its reappearance suggests the Predators reclaimed it, continuing its legendary journey.
A Nod to Independence Day?
An unexpected detail appears in the Badlands trailer. Center stage is a giant alien skull that closely resembles the invaders from Independence Day. Director Dan Trachtenberg confirmed this is more than a visual gag. Since Independence Day is also owned by Disney, a multiverse crossover is technically possible.

Alien: Earth and Future Crossovers
In the upcoming Alien: Earth series, even more hints of crossover appear. Dangerous alien species are shown gathered from planets across the galaxy. With Weyland-Yutani equipment confirmed on Predator worlds, at least one captured species likely originates there.
The series also dives into corporate warfare. A Weyland-Yutani ship crashes in a city controlled by a rival megacorporation eager to steal its tech. This mirrors the ongoing themes of greed and secrecy in both franchises. As seen in the movieย AVP: Requiem, Yutani once acquired a Predator plasma caster, integrating advanced tech into its research. That acquisition could still echo inย Alien: Earthย andย Badlands, especially with androids actively collecting alien life forms from Predator territory.
Despite being animated, Predator: Killer of Killers is a vicious and thrilling entry in the series. It stands shoulder to shoulder with the original Predator, Prey, and Predators, while opening the door to a fully connected cinematic universe. Whether we follow Naruโs continued journey, see Dutch return, or witness early seeds of crossovers with Alien and Independence Day, the hunt is clearly far from over.

Daniel fell in love with movies at the ripe old age of four, thanks to a towering chest of drawers filled with VHS tapes. Which, let’s face it, was the original Netflix binge-watch. Ever since then, this lifelong movie buff has been on a relentless quest for cinematic greatness, particularly obsessed with sci-fi, drama, and action flicks. With heroes like Nolan, Villeneuve, and Fincher guiding the way, and a special soft spot for franchises where aliens, androids, and unstoppable cyborgs duke it out (think Terminator, Predator, Alien, and Blade Runner), Daniel continues to live life one epic movie marathon at a time.
